I have decided to write just a few things that have happened leading up to the delivery of Rayne, some of them are kind of probably too much information but it might be of some importance some day or to someone. I know how many times I googled gross sounding things throughout pregnancy because I wondered if it was leading to something or if it was something I should take notice of. So if this isn't to any importance to me later or to Rayne later than hopefully it will help out someone who just needs to know that it's normal...anyways here goes!
Thursday 5/3/12 Dr's apt. I was dilated to half a finger tip, had a thick mucus plug still and I don't think he mentioned her position, other than she was head down.
Thursday 5/10/12 Dr's apt. Dilated to 2 CM, 70% effaced and her head was at a 1. He said that I was doing great with no problems the whole time! All the tests have come back with good news and I have only ever swollen around my feet just slightly a few times.
Thursday 5/17/12 Dr's apt. Dilated to almost a 4, 70% effaced still and head still at a 1. He said it could be any day now and that I should try to not shoot for Friday or Saturday because he was going to be gone camping with his son. He said that it looked like everything was going to go very smoothly considering how things were progressing and that it should be an easy pregnancy.
That night I felt some cramping, which was normal, it would always get worse when I was about to go to bed. I went to the bathroom and saw a slightly bloody thing in there so I kind of freaked out and asked my mom to look at it haha she said it was most likely the mucus plug so I thought it would start with the labor pains and everything, but nothing happened after that at all. I have been losing the mucus plug a bit at a time I think, but it was never that color it was always a greenish...gross ...
Sunday 5/20/12 I went with my mom to see the solar eclipse and get something to eat as we were coming home I felt my abs tightening, I had been feeling this for months so it wasn't a big deal, but it seemed tighter than normal. I had always thought it was Rayne kicking around or like pushing her shins against my stomach, which now seems really dumb those were obviously my muscles, not hers! So I probably just started realizing that those muscles were mine a week or so before this. It wouldn't stop and lasted probably like 2 minutes and happened at least every hour for about 2 or 3 hours. I guess they were braxton hicks contractions because they didn't hurt, they were just uncomfortable because it felt like you were doing crunches while doing whatever you were doing at the same time.
I think that is all that has stood out really, I have an appointment today and he said he would strip the membrane so it might happen very soon.
